What is lithium batterys

 Lithium battery  (Li-ion)A  Li-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery  which uses the reversible reduction  of lithium ions to store energy. 

Lithium batteries are used in many products such as electronics, toys, wireless headphones, small and large appliances, electric vehicles and electrical energy storage systems.

 lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge and back when charging. 

They are widely used in electronic devices like smartphones, laptops, cameras, and electric vehicles. Lithium batteries are lightweight, have a high energy density, charge quickly and have a longer lifespan compared to other rechargeable batteries. They are also less prone to memory effect, which is when batteries gradually lose their maximum energy capacity due to partial charging and discharging. However, lithium batteries can be expensive and have safety concerns regarding overheating and explosion.
